Hampshire Hoppit 2016
Now the dust has settled on the club’s first half/full marathon it’s time to reflect on what was achieved.
The event was sold out, with all 500 places going before race day. We have received nothing but positive feedback, with a 100% approval rating on Runners World event rankings.
Kingsclere stables were delighted the event was a success and have offered us use of their excellent facilities for 2017.
Thanks to our race committee led by race director Tim Fowler, but we are hugely grateful to every single person who helped ensure the event was the success it was.
So on behalf of the race committee and all those that raced, we’d like to offer a huge thank you to all the marshals, car park attendants, aid station helpers, goody bag handlers, chip removers, course markers, water carriers, cake bakers and sellers, fetchers, carriers, our sponsors and anyone else we may have missed.
The event raised over £5,000 which will go towards the new club stand.
