SAL Match 5

There was a dominant performance from BMHAC yesterday at Down Grange.
The team amassed a whopping points tally of 263 – a full 78 points ahead of 2nd place.
This is the result of filling every event and having a great fighting spirit.

Promotion back to the top division was dependent upon several factors: BMH needed to win with a big points tally, we needed Milton Keynes to come 2nd or worse at the match they were at or Salisbury who were top of the league to finish last at theirs.

Unfortunately, Milton Keynes did win their fixture and Salisbury did enough to remain top.
The end result is that BMH missed out by 1 point in the standings despite overhauling the points scored to surpass MK in case they slipped up.
As a result we miss out by fine margins for the 2nd year running.

A big thank you to all the athletes that have represented the club this year and filled in when they can. Also a big thanks to the volunteers, officials and friends and family that have supported the club throughout the season. Finally well done and thanks to team managers Josh Strudwick and Devon Mather for pulling it all together and generating a great team spirit.
Bring on 2020!
