Following on from his great run at Trafford last weekend and just before representing England in the Commonwealth Games, Ben Pattison has now been selected to run for Great Britain in the European Championship in Munich between the 15th and 21st August. Ben has been selected alongside newly crowned world 1500m champion Jake Wightman in the men’s 800m and Daniel Rowden who also ran in Oregon.
For those wanting to follow Ben this week in Birmingham on TV, he starts his challenge on Wednesday 3rd August in the heats that morning. There are 4 scheduled with the first at 11.20 am. The semi-finals follow on Friday the 5th, with 2 scheduled, the first at 8.40 pm. The Final is on the last day of athletics which is Sunday 7th at 7.35 pm.
It will be great watching Ben in action and the Club wishes him success and is hoping for a great performance.
