Your Club Needs Your Help

There are a number of vacant positions on the club organising committee that need to be filled. This has become an urgent need not only to support the development of the club given planning consent for a spectator stand, but more critically to maintain the current training structure and range of events and activities.

Without additional volunteers to help manage the club, membership fees and competition fees will have to increase as we will need to pay for club management and administrative support. There may also be a need to review the leagues and competitions we enter.

We are keen to attract and welcome any new committee members who can contribute with new ideas, energy and enthusiasm. We would like a broad cross section of our members to be represented, to help shape the club going forward. A detailed understanding of the ‘athletics world’ is not necessary. Our committee and post holders work as a collaborative team so we will be there to support and assist new members. No new volunteer would be left on their own as they find their feet and establish themselves in their role.

The role descriptions are a guide and reflect an ‘ideal world’.  Adjustments can be made according to the position holder’s strengths, vision and time available. Duties could be shared if time commitment is a challenge.
